Bio

Stani Stern’s musical journey began long before electronic music. As a child and teenager, she studied classical piano, developing an early understanding of harmony, dynamics and musical structure that would later become an intuitive part of her approach as a DJ.
In 1999, she discovered vinyl DJing on Koh Phangan, where she learned to play and immersed herself in the emerging electronic music culture. Coming from the Psytrance and Minimal scene, she soon began playing across Europe, with appearances in Berlin, Paris, Hamburg and La Gomera, performing in clubs and at festivals including Antaris.

Her musical journey also led her beyond the boundaries of electronic music. In 2003, she joined The Dissidenten on a European tour, becoming part of a unique meeting point between world music and electronic sound.

After a personal break from music, Stani returned to production around 2020, collaborating with other artists and gradually developing a sound of her own. Her productions have since been released on labels including AH Digital, Spiritual Enhancer, Electronic Groove, Intu Music and Sujeto Music.

In parallel, she created Stellar Stern Sessions, a podcast dedicated to deep and progressive electronic music, creating another platform for artists and sounds she feels connected to.

Today, Stani Stern moves between several musical worlds. Her sets combine Progressive House, Ambient and rawer Techno elements, allowing different textures, atmospheres and rhythmic languages to interact rather than following a fixed genre formula.
Her approach is intuitive and evolving. Rather than simply moving from one track to the next, she uses mixing as a creative process, building tension, space and unexpected connections between sounds.
Now part of the Movement Bookings roster, Stani brings together her experience as an artist with her work in artist development and booking, contributing to a wider vision of how distinctive electronic artists can be connected with audiences, promoters and new territories.

Her sound is not defined by one genre, but by the space between them.
